What are your sheet metal fabrication requirements?
We’ll need to discuss what material and finishing you would like for your project, and at this stage we can work through any engineering requirements for strength and durability as well as design considerations for the look and feel of the finished product. We may have suggestions for you based on our experience and expertise that could be included in the design and material selection process to get the best possible results.
What type of design drawings do you need?
We normally work from Autocad or Solidworks files, 3D drawings in STP or IGS formats, 2D drawings in DWG or DXF formats or 2D sketches. We can work with most file formats, however, so if you have a file in another format we can be very flexible. If you supply physical sketch drawings we will need to redraw these in a digital format, which may add an additional cost depending on the complexity.

What turnaround time can you expect?
This depends on how complex your drawings and requirements are. For a standard project we expect to be able to provide you with a quotation within five days. If the design is complex it may take from seven to ten days for us to provide you with a comprehensive response to your request.
Lead time for production of samples is typically within two weeks. This depends on the complexity of design and any surface treatments required. Production takes longer if we have to redraw or carry out additional design work, so this also depends on how complete your drawings and designs are.
When will you get the final product?
Once you have received and approved samples we can proceed directly to full scale production. When you discuss your specific project with us, our engineers can give you a very accurate and realistic timing estimate for shipping your completed order based on the quantity and difficulty of the project.
